Privacy policy
This policy explains how Carmello & John Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales (no. 17159080), registered office 4th Floor Office, 205 Regent Street, London, W1B 4HB (“we”, trading as Carmello Prints) collects and uses your personal data when you use carmelloprints.com. We are the data controller.
What we collect
- Order details: your name, email, delivery address, and the design you create (the place, date, time and wording for your map).
- Payment: card payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
- Enquiries: anything you include when you email us.
- Technical: basic server logs needed to run and secure the site. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
- To take payment and fulfil and deliver your order (performance of our contract with you).
- To answer your enquiries and provide support (our legitimate interests).
- To send marketing emails only where you have asked us to (consent), and you can opt out at any time.
- To meet our legal and accounting obligations.
Who we share it with
We share only what is necessary to run the shop: Stripe (payment processing), our print and fulfilment partner Prodigi (your name, delivery address and the print file, to make and post your order), and Cloudflare (website hosting and security). We do not sell your data.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet our legal and tax obligations (generally six years), then delete them.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, to object to processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email hello@carmelloandjohn.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
Cookies
We use only essential cookies needed for the site and secure checkout to work, and no advertising or analytics tracking. Our payment provider (Stripe) sets functional cookies during checkout, and our web fonts are delivered by Google Fonts, which may receive your device’s IP address as part of serving the fonts.
